Breast Investigators

Breast Investigators is an informational website and social network designed to provide women and men with the information they need to take action and make informed decisions about their breast health. Combining authoritative information, quality resources, and effective networking, Breast Investigators promotes prevention, early detection, treatment, survivorship and advocacy of breast cancer for its members.

Breast Investigators provides monthly breast self-awareness reminders, informative blogs, forum discussions, news updates, and a calendar of local and national events with the intention that network members and website visitors will gain crucial information in regard to their breast health and resources available to support them.

Network members include proactive women and men, breast cancer survivors, advocates, non-profit support organizations, in addition to healthcare and wellness professionals. This combination of membership allows for shared knowledge on the network creating a community connecting members.

 Personalized Profiles

Breast Investigators members are able to design their own profiles and upload videos, blogs and profiles. Members can adjust their privacy settings and find a range of other familiar features including walls, activity feeds and the ability to search other members using multiple criteria.

 Easy Messaging

Our members have the ability to message one another directly. With our built-in technology, it's possible to contact multiple members simultaneously, as well as groups and individuals. An email alert will arrive in the recipient's inbox and invite them to visit the site.

  Groups

Within our Breast Investigators network, members, support groups and organizations can create their own space. These groups can be public or invitation-only and members are able to message one another directly, creating a real sense of involvement and personal ownership.

 Promoting Events

Our Breast Investigators network is an excellent platform for organizing and promoting events such as fundraisers, breast cancer education, survivor support classes, health expos, national conferences, and more. Members and groups have the option of making an event public or private. People can then mark their attendance, write on the wall and upload photos.

Forums

Our members can discuss topics in our monitored forums and post video and photos as part of their replies. Participants are notified of any new responses by email. What's more, groups are able to keep their own forums private.

Blogging

Our Breast Investigators blogs are a great way to share valuable information.  Our moderated, communal blog allows members to share their expertise & inspirational stories.
