JUI-LIEN “LILLIAN” CHOU, MD

Dr. Jui-Lien “Lillian” Chou is a board certified radiation oncologist and a breast cancer survivor. In September 2009 she founded Aurora Breast Center San Antonio, which is the only comprehensive breast care center in San Antonio that features a breast care clinic with cutting-edge breast imaging, biopsy and cancer treatment technologies.

Dr. Chou was born and raised in Taiwan. She received her M.D. in 1980 with honors from the prestigious Medical College, National Taiwan University. After three years of ophthalmology residency training at National Taiwan University Hospital, she moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1983 to pursue her “American Dream.” She started the residency training in radiation oncology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and was board certified in Therapeutic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology in 1987. She received additional training at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and became a faculty member of the medical school in 1988. She was an assistant professor and staff radiation oncologist for the Methodist and St. Luke Hospital System.

Dr. Chou served as the medical director for radiation oncology at the University Medical Center’s Southwest Cancer Center, and at Covenant Health System’s Joe Arrington Cancer Research and Treatment Center in Lubbock, Texas. In 2001, she opened a radiation oncology facility at Lubbock Cancer Center to care for the needs of patients in the region.

Dr. Chou’s interests include healthy living and preventive medicine. has long been recognized for her excellence in radiation oncology practice and breast care. Her passion and philosophy is to provide comprehensive, compassionate and excellent healthcare to all her patients. She is a breast care specialist and has dedicated herself to the development of state-of-the-art breast care centers for the benefit of her patients.
