This site provides comprehensive advice on how patients can persuade their insurance companies to fund part or all of the cost of clinical trials.

Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF)
The PAF provides patients with arbitration, mediation, and negotiation to settle issues with access to care, medical debt, and job retention related to their illness.  The PAF provides assistance in 15 different areas, ranging from access to medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and surgery, to assistance for uninsured or underinsured individuals.

National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS): Financial Assistance 
The NCCS operates this website, which provides a broad array of services for the cancer patient.  One of the services provided concerns paying for care.  This information can be read online or downloaded as a PDF.  Other services include an extensive list of services provided to cancer patients and useful publications including "Working It Out: Your Employment Rights as a Cancer Survivor," "What Cancer Survivors Need to Know About Health Insurance." and "A Cancer Survivor's Almanac: Charting Your Journey."

Cancer.Net: Financial Resources
The Cancer.Net Financial Resources program provides the cancer patient access to dozens of organizations providing financial assistance for a large number of treatment-related costs, such as travel, insurance, home care, insurance premiums, and co-pays, and so on.

The Raymond Wentz Foundation              
The Raymond Wentz Foundation makes unrestricted cash grants to patients of all ages across the state of Colorado.  Since 2002, the foundation has granted over $700,000 to more than 1,000 patients. We offer support to cancer patients with any type of cancer diagnosis in financial need.  Grant recipients have had cancers ranging from breast, colon, pancreas, lung, and brain to leukemia and lymphoma.

Verna’s Purse, a program administered by ReproTech, Ltd., strives to make fertility preservation services available to all individuals who are facing fertility threatening treatment by offering a generous financial assistance program to patients faced with economic challenges.
